Starting in 2020, KGL S.A. joined the Natureef Association, an organization bringing together companies from the packaging, chemical and food production industries. All Natureef members implement new technologies, jointly undertake research and development projects, as well as care for the natural environment.
Undertakings of the Natureef Association focus mainly on creating a platform for knowledge and contacts exchange, enabling the organization and its members to offer new products and services to the market. This is achieved by means of:
- organizing webinars where experts share their knowledge on packaging trends, resource-efficient technologies, and financing,
- collaborative research projects on packaging meeting the circular economy requirements,
- communication with the members and the market via the Natureef newsletter containing information on market trends, alternative solutions, and potential suppliers,
- participation in industry meetings.
Within the Natureef Association, there is also a legislative group, in which KGL S.A. actively participates. During meetings, the group discusses the most important legal changes affecting the activities of the member companies. Some of the topics covered include:
- contacts with the Ministry of Environment regarding current directions of the Ministry's activities,
- Packaging and Packaging Waste Proposal Regulation – discussion of proposed changes,
- Single Use Plastic Directive – types of packaging covered by the Directive,
- Defining industry terms – e.g. PIR (Post Industrial Recycled), PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled Material),
- Green Claims Directive – discussion of the Directive with examples.
