POM

POM exists in two slightly different types: homopolymer and copolymer.
The most important advantages are as follow:

– high rigidity and good mechanical properties
– high resistance to friction and fatigue
– high dimension stability and shape durability even in high temperature
– high resistance to creep
– low coefficient of friction
– low water absorption
– excellent electric and dielectric properties
– resistance to alkalis, acids and most of organic solvents
– exposition temperature 40C up to 110C
– possibility of modification with: GF, PTFE, MoS2, silicon oil, UV stabilizer, antistatic and additives improving conductivity

Main applications are working parts e.g.: gears, levers, bearings, slide-ways, screws, pomp rotors replacing metal parts.
