Poliamid

Poliamid (PA)  is partly crystalline polymer. It has good mechanical properties (they are highly depended on humidity content), high rigidity, high heat resistance, good tear resistance and low coefficient of friction and good thermal insulation properties. Dry PA is brittle, when absorbed 2-3% of water it becomes to be malleable.
Types:
PA6 – the most popular, the highest humidity absorption, rigid,
PA66 – type with middle water absorption possibility,very good shape stability under high temperature,
PA 6.10 – type with low water absorption, so that with very good shape stability,
PA 11 – type with very low water absorption possibility, lower rigid and stiffness, it has the best impact resistance among all types
PA12 – type with the lowest water absorption possibility, high flexibility and the biggest stress corrosion resistance.
In order to improve PA properties, it may be modified with variety of additives. Most often used filler is glass fibre which enlarge resistivity and stiffness.
